Summary

Mathematical simulation of process of neutron carry-over of spontaneous fision and gamma quanta being irradiated by packed lava-like materials (LFCM), neutron- and gamma spectra are estimated, neutron flux and gamma quanta density, equivalence dose rate of personnel is made. Analogous estimates were made for the case of shilding the package with lead of different thickness. It is shown the increase of neutron irradiation contribution in summary dose rate with increasing protection thickness. Expediency is grounded of using lead filters in measuring nuclear material content in LFCM by passive neutron method.
