Summary

The article discusses the current problems of ensure reliability of results of mathematical computer simulation of modes of operation of water-cooled nuclear reactors. The main focus devoted on the methodology for determining the technological security settings active zones reactor plants using modern thermal-hydraulic codes. An analysis was performed of the adequacy of the physical models of burnout, as well as the calculated correlations that used in these computer programs to determine the conditions of this emergency process. In this article examined the basic directions of perfection of the modern thermal-hydraulic codes to improve the reliability of determination of thermophysical pa-rameters of safety the water-cooled nuclear reactors.
