Summary

The article analyzes being developed projects for severe accident management on Ukrainian WWER based on lessons Fukushima accident. Based on the analysis, identified the need to expand the list of symptoms of severe accident conditions, and taking into account possible failures of control systems and passive safety systems. Limitations established independent implementation of individual strategies for managing severe accidents. Require a compre­hensive strategy implementation guidelines for severe accident management, including the relatively rare events (for example, steam explosions).
