The paper proposes a method for adaptation of start conditions of thermoacoustic coolant instability in reactors with quasi-stationary and wave energy release. The adaptation criterion is an analysis of ratio of quasi-stationary and wave energy release power in case of identical practical design and technical characteristics and external thermal hydrodynamic conditions. When adaptation conditions are met, it is not needed to analyse the possibility of initiating of thermoacoustic coolant instability and its effect on fuel cladding integrity in «wave» reactor core.
