Summary

The results of determining of radioactive aerosol concentrations in the lower atmosphere in the local zone of the “Ukryttya” object in the spring of 2011 are presented. Man-made radionuclides 134Cs, 136Cs, 131I, 132I, 132Tе, contained in the releases from accident units of the NPP “Fukushima-1”, was revealed in air samples. Aerosols was distributed in the North hemisphere. It is shown that the radioactive aerosols from Fukushima did not have a significant additional contribution to the dose of personnel engaged in the performance of work on the local zone of the “Ukryttya” object. Their concentrations did not exceed the permissible levels of radionuclides in the air to the public. Based on the analysis of dispersed radionuclides found that natural radionuclides (7Be, 210Pb) and radionuclides of the Fukushima genesis (131I, 134Cs) are located on carriers of similar aerodynamic diameter (0.4 – 0.7 µm).
